Clinic Overview
Standard clinic is called “The Basic Four Fitness Program- Improving communication with your Horse”. It is off horse and exercise based. The individual hosting must have a rider and horse available at the beginning and end of clinic to assist in demonstrating concepts presented during the course.
Groups of up to 25 can be accommodated. To facilitate learning participants are paired up (or sign up with a friend!) I constantly circulate through the class to answer questions and provide one to one attention. Contact Equicision directly with questions regarding larger group or multi-day presentations.
Duration 3.5 to 4 hours with schedule breaks.
Participants receive a copy of “The Basic Four A Fitness Program to Improve Communication with your Horse,” clinic handout, 4-week strength training and cardio conditioning program. Auditors receive a clinic handout.
Please bring something to drink and, if necessary, to eat. Unless otherwise specified, the clinic venues do not have food available. Equipment will be available for use and for purchase at the clinic.
Educational clinics for the riding athlete include both practical application and lecture:
Matching Horse to Rider- Choosing a horse can be frustrating. This course provides practical information on how the horse can influence the rider and his/her ability to perform and a method for identifying a “better fitting” horse.
Basics of Riding Mechanics- Introduces the basics of creating riding stability. Heads Up- Minimizing the risk of head and neck injury for the Equestrian Athlete.
Medical practitioners can attend any of the above clinics, however a special five-part course was created addressing the medical aspects of the equestrian as an athlete. Please contact Equicision directly for details.
